Without her knowledge, her father sold the home in 2013 while she lived in Australia. Savić purchased a home in the Zvezdara neighborhood of Belgrade in 2010. They officially moved back to Serbia in April 2015. They were wed in March 2011 and their second son Đorđe was born 30 June 2012. Their first child, a son Makim, was born 29 December 2010. During their engagement, Savić became pregnant in 2010 and left her music career in Serbia behind and relocated to her fiancé's home in Australia to focus on raising their family. Savić began dating Australian businessman Dušan Jovančević in 2009 and the couple soon became engaged. Her two singles "Suknjica" and "Gde ljubav putuje" were theme songs for films Gucha: Distant Trumpet and Serbian Scars (2008), respectively.

Savić auditioned for the first season of the televised singing contest Zvezde Granda in 2003, ending in third place at the 2004 finale. Although no one in the family was involved in music, they all supported her interest and Tanja began to perform with the band Calypso. In a 2004 interview, she stated that she was of Romani descent she has since denied this.Īt the age of eight years she performed at the "Prvi glas Vojvodine” ( English : First Voice of Vojvodina) music festival with the folk song “Ječam žela" and won first place. Her sisters name is Biljana, while her brother is Tomica. She was one of three children-two daughters and a son-born to Staniša Savić and Živana. Tanja Savić was born in the village Radinac in the Smederevo municipality of Serbia. Since then she has become a leading pop star in the region. Her debut studio album, Tako mlada, was released 16 June 2005. She became famous aged 19 in 2004 while competing on the first season of the Zvezde Granda television singing contest, finishing in third place.
